Use current statement or reported balances and limits. Blank cards with zero balances and limits are ignored. This is a balance snapshot: new purchases, interest, and reporting timing can change it. Use a budget that preserves essential bills and required payments. Targets are planning choices, not guaranteed score thresholds; this tool does not predict credit-score changes.

Leverage & ScaleBorrowing Cost ComparisonOpen tool

Compare two fixed-rate scenarios for the same loan amount and term. See the difference in payment, interest, and total cost.

Use interest rates from actual offers or your own scenarios. Upfront fees are paid separately, not financed. This is not an APR calculation or a prediction of rates available after credit repair. Excludes taxes, insurance, penalties, and variable rates.

Risk & ProtectionEmergency Fund & Income Protection PlannerOpen tool

Find out how long your savings cover essential expenses and what it takes to build your chosen reserve.

Compare reserve targets:

Enter an annual savings interest rate, not APY. Contributions arrive at month end. Expenses and rates stay constant; taxes and inflation are excluded. Adjust your target to your household. This estimates cash coverage, not insurance benefits.

Capital AllocationDebt Payoff vs. InvestingOpen tool

Compare debt first, investing your extra cash, and a split you choose. Every scenario uses the same total monthly budget.

Your fixed debt payment continues in every scenario. Once debt is paid off, the entire budget is invested; unused money in the payoff month is invested too. Interest accrues monthly; investing happens at month end. Returns are hypothetical and may be negative. No taxes, fees, employer matches, new charges, or withdrawals. Actual minimum payments can change.

Leverage & ScaleHomebuyer Readiness PlannerOpen tool

See your estimated housing payment, debt-to-income ratios, cash needed, and a reserve target before talking with a lender.

Enter monthly tax and insurance estimates from reliable quotes. Include all relevant mortgage insurance and upfront costs. DTI uses gross income and excludes maintenance and ordinary living costs; your reserve target includes them. Do not count current rent again if the new home will replace it. This is a planning estimate, not approval or a lending eligibility test.

Income EngineIncome Goal & Cash Flow GapOpen tool

Turn a financial goal into a monthly take-home income target and see how much extra work would cover the gap.

Keep expenses, debt payments, existing savings, and the new goal separate to avoid double counting. Hourly earnings should be after taxes and work-related costs. This assumes steady income, no investment growth, and no withdrawals from goal savings.

How the assessment chooses your next step

0–1: build the foundation. 2–3: keep developing. 4–5: maintain and review. Scores count self-reported checkpoints, not creditworthiness.

We prioritize current payments, then a credit foundation score of at least 4. Next comes an Income Engine score of at least 3, then a Risk & Protection score of at least 3 with accessible emergency savings, then a Capital Allocation score of at least 3. After those checkpoints, the next learning focus is responsible leverage. These are CreditCorner educational planning rules, not lender standards. Meeting essential needs and protecting against emergencies remain important at every stage.

This self-assessment organizes your next learning step. It is not a credit score, professional financial assessment, product recommendation, or lending decision. No paid service is required to use these tools.

Start with your statements

Three steps to a clearer plan.

01

Choose your tool.

Use Money Manager for budgeting, the Debt Payoff Planner for multiple debts, the Credit Card Payoff Calculator for one card, or the Investment Calculator to explore a future goal. Use account nicknames; full account numbers are unnecessary.

02

Enter your numbers.

Read the workbook instructions and replace the examples in the light green cells. Enter your income, spending, balances, or APRs as needed, then choose your reporting dates or payoff goal.

03

Review and adjust.

Review the schedules or registers, resolve flagged entries, and compare your figures with current statements. Update your plan when balances, rates, income, or spending change.

Before you get started.

Are these online calculators or downloads?

The seven tools above and the Investment Calculator work directly on this page. For offline planning, the Debt Payoff Planner, Credit Card Payoff Calculator, Money Manager, and Investment Calculator include downloadable spreadsheets: save it to your device, open it in Microsoft Excel or LibreOffice, and edit the light green input cells. Each workbook includes sample data and instructions. The payoff tools also include a monthly payment schedule.

Does Money Manager connect to my bank?

No. It is a manual-entry workbook for budgeting, account tracking, reconciliation, and savings allocations. Replace the sample data and use your own statements. Savings allocations earmark existing cash; they do not create additional assets.

What do the payoff estimates include?

The payoff calculators use monthly interest at APR divided by 12, rounded to cents, with fixed rates. They do not model new purchases, fees, promotional-rate changes, or daily interest. Forecasts run for up to 360 months. Your creditor statements determine the actual amounts and due dates.

Does this predict my credit score?

No. Card utilization is included as a planning measure, not a score prediction. Paying down debt and reviewing credit-report accuracy are related but separate tasks; the workbook does not file disputes or guarantee a score change.

How does this fit CreditCorner’s approach?

Credit Repair Optimization starts with understanding your credit foundation. This planner supports informed debt decisions as you work toward the broader goals in our framework: Income Engine, Capital Allocation, Risk & Protection, and Leverage & Scale.
